WHY is the O’mai system so different?

Comprised of wholesome oils, it’s a more natural alternative to traditional hair straighteners or relaxers that contain harsh, corrosive chemicals. O’mai is odorless and guaranteed to be free of formaldehyde, lye and potassium. Committed to being cruelty-free, O’mai is never tested on animals and PETA certified. Made with natural oils, not only is O’mai kinder and less damaging to your hair, but it can also help rejuvenate dry, damaged hair. Plus, it’s quick and easy for stylists to use, and safer on your hair.

O’mai can also be used safely on all types of hair, even hair that is color-treated or double processed. O’mai is so gentle it can actually improve the texture of the most fragile, even post-chemotherapy hair.

HOW much does an O’mai treatment cost?

O’mai’s treatment is recommended at $350. It’s much less expensive than Japanese treatments, which can average between $1500-$2000 for longer hair; and still less than the Brazilian process, which can often exceed $500.

WHY is an O’mai process so much less expensive?

O’mai has one formula that is universal – it works on all hair types, from fine to coarse. Salons need only to stock one version, so it reduces the expense of having to buy/stock multiple product versions.

In addition, because there is no need for flat-ironing, the O’mai process takes less time than the Japanese or Brazilian systems. From beginning to end, most people can be in and out of the salon in under two hours!

HOW long does an O’mai treatment last?

Effects can last from 3 months up to 9 months, depending on the individual hair type. Because O’mai is specifically designed to not interfere with your hair’s integrity, like harsh chemical-based relaxers often do, the results wear away gradually and will not leave that telltale demarcation line that comes with new hair growth. Regular at-home hair care using the specially formulated pH-balanced shampoo and conditioner can further enhance the results.

WHAT results can I expect from O’mai?

Hair the way you want it. Straight, with plenty of body and movement, or soft and wavy, or with gentle curls minus the frizz – the results are flexible and can be customized to meet your wishes. You can change your look from day to day – blowing hair dry for a straighter, sleeker look or letting hair dry naturally, with a little styling product and scrunching, for soft open curls without frizz or unwanted volume.

Unlike the Japanese or Brazilian systems, which result in only pin-straight hair, O’mai offers a variety of options. Hair will be easier to manage and quicker to style, with styling time cut in half!

WHAT hair types can benefit from O’mai?

O’mai works on virtually every hair type, from very fine to coarse, wavy to curly, bleached to double-processed, to frizzy and unruly. It works for all ethnicities, with the sole exception of African-American hair.
